The missing balance

Today, I made a conscious decision to break away from my usual routine and try something new. Instead of driving my car, I decided to take public transportation. While walking towards the bus stop, I came across a small shop that caught my attention. The shop sold a variety of goods, including newspapers. It reminded me of my grandfather who used to read the newspaper every morning. I decided to buy a newspaper, which was something I had never done before.

As I sat on the bus holding the newspaper, I couldn't help but notice how everyone around me was glued to their smart devices. It made me smile as if I was coming from another time. I started reading the newspaper and came across an interesting news article on the first page. The article stated that more than 60% of the world's population uses a smartphone, and some people even have multiple devices.
This got me thinking about the impact of smart devices on our lives. Does constantly using these devices have an impact on our mental and physical health? What about the radiation emitted by these devices? Could it be harmful to our eyes and overall health? I also wondered if our reliance on smart devices could make us less intelligent, as we may not use our brains as much. Would we become less focused and motivated in our lives as a result of this? I wondered how this may change the nature of our jobs, as well as our bodies and the way we sleep and move.
As I sat there lost in thought, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the newspaper in my hands. It was a reminder of a simpler time when people read the news in print form.

Addiction

As we navigate through the vast expanse of cyberspace, it's hard to deny that our lives have become increasingly intertwined with this parallel world. While this digital realm has undoubtedly made certain tasks more convenient, it has also had a profound impact on our humanity, limiting our potential and hindering our ability to communicate with those around us. Despite the many opportunities that this digital world presents such as cutting down the time required to do multiple daily tasks, and providing many ways to express ourselves, create content, deliver messages, and obtain admiration from others, it's as equally important to acknowledge that there are also significant costs associated with this unprecedented level of connectivity. As we continue to immerse ourselves in this digital landscape, we must ask ourselves: what is the true price of our super-connected lives in cyberspace?

Disconnection from reality

In today's world, cyber addiction has become a growing concern for many people. It can lead to social disconnection, increased stress and anxiety, lack of time, impatience, mental instability, and even partial memory loss. While some may think these side effects are exaggerated, it is worth considering the impact that technology has on our daily lives.

For instance, have you ever struggled to recall what you had for lunch just a few days ago? Or have you noticed your memory starting to fade? This is just one of the many consequences of living in a digital age. Another is our inability to sit down and read for an extended period of time. When was the last time you read twenty pages continuously from a book on your shelf? Or read a full page in the newspaper without distraction?

Moreover, our friendships and conversations have also been affected by technology. When was the last time you had a long and deep conversation with your best friend? Have your friendships diverged, and have your conversations decreased? These are just some of the many ways in which technology is impacting our daily lives.

It's crucial to recognize the high price that an individual pays for living in this age of technology. We may not realize it until we miss out on the best times of our lives, and it's too late to remember many interesting images or experiences to share with our offspring and loved ones. We may eventually realize that we've been living a false life in a world that's not worth wasting time.

Protection and awareness

Maybe if we give everything its real weight and value, perhaps we’ll be able to achieve an intended balance of life. Modern technology has brought about a lot of psychological pressures and physical diseases that can disrupt our daily lives. The constant use of screens has a significant impact on our organs, especially the eyes. Over the years, our pre-puberty children have shown symptoms of eyesight deterioration due to prolonged exposure to screens that require wearing glasses, and they may even develop adult diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and inactivity. Studies have shown that staring at screens for prolonged periods can cause eye dryness, reduce the quality of vision, trigger headaches, and adversely affect the neck and back. Moreover, listening to loud music using headphones for extended periods may lead to gradual hearing loss.

To prevent these negative impacts of technology on our health, we need to take preventive measures.

In today's digital age, technology has become an integral part of our lives. While it undoubtedly offers numerous benefits, it can also negatively impact our health. To counteract these effects, we must first prioritize organizing our time effectively when using electronic devices. This can be achieved by taking regular breaks and engaging in relaxing activities to recharge our batteries.

Secondly, incorporating regular exercise into our routine can help mitigate the adverse effects of technology on our physical and mental well-being. Many apps and social media platforms offer free virtual workouts and nutritional advice to support a healthy lifestyle free of charge. However, our problem may not be more physical than psychological, as we become increasingly reliant on technology, it can be challenging to find the time and motivation to exercise regularly.
Modern life has restricted us and we have become excessively dependent on technology, claiming that it improves the quality of life and the efficiency of achievement, if this is partially true, we must be aware of the other side that may negatively affect our health.

Therefore, it is crucial to recognize that our body has a right over us. We must take care of it by engaging in physical activities, walking daily, and giving our eyes sufficient rest. By doing so, we can maintain our physical health while enjoying the benefits of technology.
