Privacy settings are the parameters of your account in different services which determine whether or not others can access your account.
Privacy settings depend on what you want to reveal. Do not rely on what “everyone says”. Use your own judgment and sense of modesty. Remember your profile is your “online territory” and you set the rules.
Parental controls are the settings parents can adjust to manage the way their children use computers and services. Parental controls can also be used on school computers to stay in control of the way they are used.
